    Default Willow Springs...

STREETS OF WILLOW - February 12
Due to a lack of drivers for our event this Friday at Streets, we are offering a special deal: $130 + free transponders for a limited time. This deal will hold through Tuesday at 10pm, at which point the price may go up and we may take away the free transponder offer. There are currently 2 drivers in RED, 7 in BLACK, 1 in PURPLE, and 6 in BLUE. To sign up: http://www.speedventures.com/events/...il.aspx?id=269

WILLOW SPRINGS ROAD COURSE - February 20, 21
Lots of room for this event as well. However, if you plan on running in the S2000 Challenge, Corvette Challenge, or Miata Challenge, you'd better sign up ASAP for Saturday because the advanced group spots are going fast. The EVO/WRX Challenge will run on Sunday. The price for this event is currently $170. To sign up: http://www.speedventures.com/events/...il.aspx?id=270

Thank you. Hope to see you at the track.

OXYACETELENE TORCH: Used almost entirely for lighting those stale garage cigarettes you keep hidden in the back of the Whitworth socket drawer (what wife would think to look in there?) because you can never remember to buy lighter fluid for the Zippo lighter you got from the PX at Fort Campbell.

    How many people like SoW?

I personally hate it, but I have never driven it CCW so maybe I'd like it better that direction. Just about everyone I know really likes that track though.
FYI they widened the track at the blind chicane and repaved it and added new berms so all the old thrill and danger of going CW is gone.

I love Horse Thief Mile (one of my all time favorites). I think it's one of the most fun track and thrilling tracks around despite it being slow and short. Nothing like the feeling of knowing that you could roll 300 feet down a hill side if you loose going CW.

Still haven't driven Big Willow, but I can't wait now that I have proper roll over protection in case turn 9 gets me

I've driven the streets both directions and the big track. The streets I'm abivalent about; they are OK but not great. I'd have to call them "safe" because speeds are not high and usually lots of ruinoff. I love the big track. However, it's been years since I've been there so getting there is a priority for me this year. These dates don't work for me though so it'll have to be later.
