    I would think availability could be a major issue and might be why no rates are listed for partial track rentals on weekends.

    Course variations could be accommodated with "slaloms" on the straight sections.

    Today I worked a PCA event at Buttonwillow. At the end of the day (actually mid-afternoon) the had an "autocross" on the east side. They moved out a section of the pit wall and came directly out of the pits, across the main straight, and used the crossover to get to the bus stop then continued counter-clockwise. It was more like a very short track than an autocross course. No cones for chicane not slalom. Their times were in the 70-75 second range.

    Oh yeah, Jim. You would really like it. Like I said, more of a short road course than an autocross. Have you ever driven Buttonwillow? Just think of driving the east side counterclockwise only because that is what it was.

    In the past they have allowed the use of a portion of the east loop. The American Autocross Series (AAS) hosted a North/South Challenge back in the mid 90s.
