Very good event as usual. Thanks to the Santa Clara Corvette Club. Here's one of my runs from the 3rd group this afternoon -- a 43.394. I ran a best of 43.112 in the 5th and final run but this one shows a more diverse group of Corvettes waiting to run.

The REALLY fast ones ran 3 seconds quicker. Oh well. Gives you an idea of what Lemoore NAS will look like.

Holy Cow ! That's not an auto cross it's a couple of drag strips tied together. Bet you wished for more horsepower...................and work on your breathing. Turning blue at the finish line is a dead give away. These icons really are pretty lame. They need more color or definition.

I hope it isn't that open :)..........................need some slalom practice here! Definitely am stoked about the clean tire cutting surface :D

+1 to what Cliff said. I did like some of the "box" features though. I wish we had more of those. I like boxes, they are Miata-friendly!

Yes, it really was three and a half fast almost straight sections that measured braking distance with a couple of high-speed flicks that got a few in trouble. At the end of the last out-bound straight the group-of-five-cones turn out in the middle of nothing was actually very interesting to get into fast and back out of.

I agree. Not only because I didn't have enough power for the long straights but to also add more of a driving element to the course. Sometimes Corvettes just want to blow out some of the gunk. Marina has an issue with blowing sand that I don't expect to have at Lemoore which can discourage too many maneuvers.
The many C6 Z06s (505+hp) really came into their own and one in particular was awesome to watch and listen to. It's a built 10.6 sec. 1/4 miler on full track suspension and tires. It hauled down the straights -- but wasn't the fastest out there. Top time was taken by a base C6 on fresh A6 Hoosiers with a great driver.

As well as a reason not to -- $$$$. I'd rather do many diverse events pretty well then to run only a few better. And, at the end of the day, I can't buy more talent.

The course will be HP friendly. With some much room we need to have fun!

I think I could get my truck and trailer through that course.
