I hope everyone had fun along with being able to learn how to autocross better. Great job Brandon on pulling this event together because there is so much more complexity involved in an autocross school.
Any student who reads this form could I get you to post one thing you learned about?
Also, was there one thing you wanted to spend more time working on?
I want to use your feedback to make the school better for the following years.
Again, hope everyone had FUN and GREAT job Brandon.;)

Terrific job Brandon! Both the school and track sessions were well planned and executed. The Mini crowd left very happy.
Thanks to the usual suspects that always seem to show up when there is a job to be done. Proud to be a member of the Fresno Chapter.
Only complaint was the lopsided distribution of entrees on Sunday that was adjusted for after lunch.
Most valuable skill learned was the need to use more of the track on entry to a turn. Just wish I could say I'd mastered that by the end of the day but it's hard to teach this old dog a new trick.

It was a great weekend! My hearty thanks to all who particpated in making it happen...
I learned a lot about my car and my (lack of) driving skills. There was a lot of information presented on Saturday, and a good opportunity to apply it on Sunday. My mistake on Sunday afternoon was to chase the clock instead of slowing down & applying what I learned the previous day; but that's alright -- there will be a next time!
Good things that happened:
-Great instructors (kudos, Ron!)
-Separation of skill events on Saturday. Even though I was reluctant to try the skid pad because of the way the cars looked when done, it was an extremely positive learning experience. I'm glad I did it.
-Great to try the Sunday course both ways -- wonderful way to reinforce the skills learned, and apply them a little differently.
-Nice to meet a lot of other car buffs and get to know them a little bit.
-Working half of the time on Sunday -- what a good chance to see everybody else and what works and what doesn't.
-Big thanks to all the instructors that rode with students on Sunday. You gave up drive time to underline and emphasize with the students what you're trying to get across. It made a huge difference.
Bad things:
-None, really, except maybe a little better seperation of groups on Sunday. I will admit that I was probably part of the problem. We were part of the group still walking the course Sunday AM when the groups were split. I don't think we heard the PA announcement for the meeting out on the back half. Then again, perhaps I need to pay a little more attention...
Overall, a great experience.
Thanks again to everyone who made it that way!

overall excellent work on organizing the event to every body who participated. I definitely learned a lot. I found out i need to work more on my entry into hairpins, brake earlier accelerate sooner and take the corners wider to shave of some time. Dan was a great instructor, helped with lots of valuable input and extremely experienced in high horsepower cars. I now need to work a little bit more on my suspension/tire settings to help with a little bit more grip. Thanks to every body and am looking forward to going to future events.

the school was a great learning experience for me! i had never participated in anything of this nature and i felt like i took a lot of information home. the biggest things i learned were how to properly walk the course and pick apexes for my car. also learning the significance of how little adjustments such as tire pressure, could significantly reflect handling abilities. being able to find the limits of my car was a major plus during sunday!
i do wish i had more time in the slalom... it really owned me during my runs sunday! also learning how to keep fluid motions through transitions but i'm sure that will come with more seat time! thanks again everybody! i met a lot of great drivers out there!

I thought the meetings before each run group wasn't needed.
But onto the interesting material:
Course was challenging! For our Miata, it was a lot of debate of either to hold it in 2nd, or to do a lot of shifting. Do a lot of shifting, when to go into 2nd without disrupting the line. Then that slalom was a beast! I left so much time there. My slalom skills is shameful, and quite ugly (help me Ric!). Also the two surface challenge requires everyone to respect the grip level, or you'll just eat it going in too hot, or going on the gas too soon. We can't forget those little dips, and bumps as well. Overall, I've grown a much greater respect for the site, and two thumbs up on the job for Brandon!

Thanks Kurt. I think I owe you a bit of rubber too haha
As for the meetings, I wanted to make sure that we really pounded a lot of the driver's meeting and tech stuff into the heads of all the new guys. By the end of the day Sunday, we had flawless cone calls, DNF calls and everyone knew what we look at in tech.
This is more than a lot of our members...

I suppose I can post some comments on what I learned. Even though I chaired the event, I still tried to use as much 'test & tune' time as possible as I really needed the time.
I was on new tires which I wasn't familiar with (RE01R), had a bad alignment, and lost my tools to adjust my suspension which has just been rebuilt so I have no idea where they are set at.
With that being said, I learned a lot of basic car control techniques from driving quite a few different cars and riding in even more. It's interesting to see which skills are universal and which much be adjusted to FWD, RWD, light cars, heavy cars etc.
