I am sending the call out to all members. We REALLY need your help getting people signed up for the upcoming driving school and test & tune. We only have 10 confirmed drivers and quite simply that's not enough.

Pre-Registration is required for the Driving School and highly recommended for the Test & Tune

All information for the event can be found by clicking HERE (http://www.fresnoscca.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56)

I also need instructors, which run for free.

Thanks

Thanks Ron, I see a few Miatas registered. Not sure if they are friends of yours or not though.

PeterGreat! I see two from the Miata club. That's a 200% increase over any prior attendance.

That's not mathematically possible.

Hey Black_EM2,

fastFijian We have loaner helmets but you may have to share at the event.

If you like to read here are a couple posts with some really good information on a first time autocross.

From the "Solo FAQs" in the Rookie Pit (http://www.fresnoscca.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=29)

What do I need to bring with me to an event?
To run you need a valid driver’s license and an appropriate helmet. However,
many regions have a few loaner helmets at events so you don’t necessarily have
to go out and buy a new helmet. Check with your region first. Some other things
that are recommended are a tire pressure gauge, appropriate clothes, sun block,
plenty of water, etc. and your will to have fun.

Get yourself a SA2000 or SA2005 rated helmet. Used is fine if it has been taken care of. Next year SA2010 will be released, and those standards will be good until the year 2020. I have an SA2005, so that will work until 2015.

Here's a couple of websites

is the cut-off for sunday 40 as well? if so you're really only looking at about 27 entries for saturday, given the number of people signing up for sunday and the likelyhood of someone only signing up for saturday only.

Are convertible's allowed with out a roll cage or roll bar? This is autocross, not track. Neither Roll bar mor cage is required. As a matter of fact, they are discouraged. Added weight.

From the flyer:
Autocross is a timed contest of driving skill. Speeds and hazards to spectators, participants, and property do
not exceed those found in normal, legal highway driving.
