On the home page, click on the Site Map link shown under Event 8 (or any of the Castle events.) You'll be taken to Google Maps and can back out and ask it for directions, if needed.

that's a start. I'll make a Gif or Jpeg so it can be posted in promo threads, i think you can get allot more people to absorb a visual than follow a link.

I like the idea Thad. When you make it make sure to highlight the roads to take. I know there are some people who are computer challenged so making it easier to find us is a good thing.

Whether coming from the North or the South:
Exit 99 on Buhach Rd.
At the STOP sign, turn left.
Stay on Buhach Rd until you cross Santa Fe Dr. and enter Castle Airport/Business Park on Airdrome Entry.
Keep Right to Aviation Dr.
Stay on Aviation Dr. (one way) until A St., turn Left.
Follow A St. until you get to the site.
Usually - but not necessarily always - the entrance to the paddock area (therefor the waiver station) is where A St angles off to intersect with Apron Ave.
There now - that wasn't so hard, was it?

I personally wish we would use the route Ron has posted and keep the waivers station at that inter section. I think this route is easier to navigate especially since we don't go to the Winton Ramp anymore.

Thanks for posting, Ron.
Isn't A street the one with the trenches at the intersections where cars fall in to never return? ;) Corky would know if I'm thinking of the right street(s).
I see most with trailers coming this way:
Exit 99 on Buhach Rd.
At the STOP sign, turn left.
Stay on Buhach Rd until you cross Santa Fe Dr. and enter Castle Airport/Business Park on Airdrome Entry.
Left on Hospital Road.
Right on Wallace Road until you get to the site.
If you are coming down Santa Fe from the N turning Left on Wallace Road to enter the base saves a lot of distance.

That'll work, too. Never thought of that way. Either way, the young'uns ought to be able to find it now.:)

I think we need to consider finalizing the entry point to the paddock parking area. I hate having to drive all the way around the course are just to try to get into the paddock parking area.
Personally I thought 90%+ of the people come off of HWY99 to Buhach, so coming in on Aviation DR so coming straight in with one left is easy. If the event chair wants to switch it and enter the paddock parking from the North end just let us all know ahead of time.
I might put this on the Agenda for the September meeting.
By the way Dan you did not come to the Aug meting to discuss the trailer towing vs event chair.

You can consider it switched -- although with only one or two exceptions entry has been from the North for the last year or more. AAS, I believe, has always used this entry as well.
The most direct entry to the paddock will be by coming in on Wallace Road. Directional cones will be placed pointing to direct cars Left on Hospital Road and Right on Wallace.
You're right, I wasn't at the meeting.
