Hey everyone, I just got all the photos from this past weekends event at Castle Air Force Base up and ready to view. I posted up 2 photos of every car that I got a picture of of. Bit I have more than that for most of you! So here they are to see. (I am deeply sorry to those that I did not get photos of. I arrived late and therefore saw only the very last bit of the first run group.)

If you want full resolution photos of your car or another car, let me know. I'm trying to make some money on the side here with my photography so that I myself can participate in these events rather than watching from the sidelines! Depending on the amount of photos I have for you depends on the cost. It will be either $15 or $20.
If any of you are interested in me getting photos of your car similar to the ones of the red mustang (my camera attached to the outside of your car), let me know before the event and it will be an extra $5 per lap on top of the $15/$20.

You say "I make them look fast," as if they were the slowest thing on a track! I mean dude, they set the record! Going like at least 70mph! :p

Sounds like a plan. Just try and let me know before hand, and what run group you plan on being in:)

With regard to big blue...does ANYONE notice some safety issues here that appear to have been ignored.
1. hand held cam
2. Arm out of vehicle
I can only imagine what else might have been going on.

I was thinking that while I was watching them. But they were going really really slow http://fresnoracing.ipbhost.com/style_emoticons/default/dntknw.gif

Sweet pics!! Not to continue thread hijack, but...
I indeed saw the camera and the riders, and will 'own up' to this one as we did clear the course for the car, and our 'riders of the azure sage' were all marines who came out to visit and get ride-alongs this fine sunday. By the time the camera came out, ol' blue was on the start line. As stated before, the vehicle's speed was less than that of the typical parking lot.
That being said, our visitors may not have followed our regulations to the tee. Before they showed, I was about to wave over a sheriff's car that was lurking to see if they wanted a free run, I wouldn't have asked them to wear a helmet, unless they wanted to. I did want the flyboys wearing helmets as they have C130 training, not high speed vehicle maneuver training.
Military, peace officers, and Castle officials all should get the white glove treatment to further our relationship with the Castle/Atwater community. I felt personally that the 'camera held with suction cup' (no offense photographer) gave me more of a 'safety steward moment' than the Suburban of doom. However both events were shown to be uneventful and may futher club activity. I also thought that perhaps the marine's CO may not appreciate ol' blue in action, but that is a different story...
I can make a long list of past Fresno SCCA'ers that probably don't agree with the tone of this post and I respectfully apologize. In my few years with the group I have seen many actions that don't always portray our regulations, usually for personal gain, rarely for club promotion and community building.

I can also add that they were instructed and made aware the pace was to be parade lap, and they would not get a time. (I think it was in the 2:XX range) And that any failure to follow these guide lines and they would be asked to leave.

No offense taken.

So... just thought I asked but if we were to request the event staff for a parade cruise on a lap, with those condition(i.e. hands out of the vehicle with camera in hand), it would be okay?

For sure...the suburban's split time was slower than my overall time LOL!!
Sure, a couple rules were bent, but like mentioned, there are certain circumstances where I personally feel that is okay. I was actually quite surprised they didn't lose the course and didn't knock over any cones. They were great sports. I gave one of the marines a ride along and I'm pretty sure he enjoyed himself. Just check out this beautiful pic

I mentioned to him sliding around the course like I was wasn't the fastest way around the course. In between all his giggles he said he didn't even know where the course was going, complimented me on my driving, and got out of the car with a **** eating grin. That made my weekend right there. Totally worth the price of admission.
