EVENT CHAIRS: Eric Gillis and Arron Schreoder
PM Arron for setup time Saturday.
Yes, this event is suppose to happen.
The paperwork I am sending through has this date listed and we are sending in payment.
Who wants to design the course and chair the event?
Maybe somebody up North might like to take on this one?

I just found this announcement today, I registered for a car show in Modesto on the 13th. I could help out mucho/setup quickly on Sunday morning or Saturday afternoon/evening. I do not have a truck still, I would gladly pay gas and event registration for someone to bring the trailer to and from wherever it is these days. If it is at Derrels still, I might be able to swing a borrowed truck.
I am willing to help out if I can get a couple of definite helpers we could work this out!

Eric the trailer is in a top secret location. HAHA Just Contact Corky about getting the trailer.
Some FYI:
To setup Sunday morning must start at 6:30am to be ready by 9:00am.
Saturday setup can happen anytime after 10:00am and go until you can't see anymore. 10:00pm-8:00am is quiet time so I guess you would have to stop working on the course Saturday night at 10:00pm.
Oh and if anyone is interested you can stay at the track overnight just no fires or dumping of fluids.

I can be there to help out on Sunday morning. By the looks of it, I most likely will not have the time to chair the event solo. I would help out mucho on Sunday to make this event happen, just need help with trailer to and fro. Hell, I may be convinced to do a 'Bruce' and camp out if needed. I wonder what trouble I could get into at Castle at night?!

keep the thread and chat alive!! I know many are working on plans for this weekend in Buttonwillow, but this is only a week away from Sunday!

I think I can cover getting the trailer out of it's secret hiding spot. I got connections ;) But as far as the details, I'd feel much better if I had someone making sure I was covering all the bases. Like I said, I'd love to co-chair.

WOW I thought we were having trouble getting events for the season and now we do and no one can do it.
Well I am going to say it if we don't have an EVENT CHAIR BY SUNDAY then forget it!!!
I know some of you have other things going on and that is understandable but that can't be everyone.:(
I hate it how it seems that very few are willing to sacrifice a little so we all can have fun. At the meeting I will discussing how we need an event chair signed up in advance of an event or we will cancel it.

Sounds to me reading this thread that Erik Gillis and Aaron Schroder are asking to be our co-chairs.
I can be there Saturday to help setup if you want to do it then and I'm reading that others want to help also. If it's OK with you guys on doing the event, I'm sure you'll find plenty of help.
Just to get to see, Maybe?, the debut of the newest Shark is enough to get me up to Atwater. Please tell me you fixed the water lead, Ric.

Yeah I think we are going to co-chair it. I will shoot for a Saturday setup, whenever is best for everyone as I will most likely be available all day.

Eric Gillis and Arron Schroeder are working together to make this event happen.
I am glad to see we are going to have this event.:)
Arron it is best if you just pick a time. The Castle Use Agreement states we can begin setup at 10:00am. If you want to start later that is fine too.

Unfortunately, I will be unable to help setup for this event. I will be in San Francisco until Saturday evening. I should be there for Sunday though. :Fingers Crossed:
Aaron and Eric, I will email you the event sanctioning insurance certificate, just in case I am unable to be there Sunday.
Any ideas for a course design yet?

Thanks Brandon, I got a few floating around in my head, I've put pen to paper for one or two.
What time about, do we need to be done setting up? I want to setup in the late afternoon, but I don't want to start too late.

We usually try to get there in the 10am range, but that's just because we want to beat the heat. Looking at the forecast, it's expected to only be mid 80's next weekend for Atwater.
I'm gonna throw out 3pm as a good start time, maybe then I'll have a chance of being there to help!
What do you guys think of taking advantage of the daylight until 9pm and doing a BUNCH of fun runs? We need the $$$ lol

Sounds like a plan to me! I don't know what Eric's plans are yet but if its not gonna be a scorcher, 3pm sounds pretty good.

See you there at 3:00. My daughter was supposed to close on a new house and move this weekend but it was bumped back freeing my time to help setup and run.

I’m Happy to see the championship series back on track. I can help out on Saturday but will not be able to come on Sunday, a good friend of the family passed away and we will be at his Life Celebration at the Bohemian Club in San Francisco on Sunday.

:D I got nothing to do on Sat. I'll be there to help setup, Atwater is just 10mins drive from my house. Therefore, 3:00pm is what every one agree right?
