How is everybody doing?

I live in Fresno now, but dont have a car anymore. (trying to raise 9month old twins) But i will have something in the next month. My dad is an old champion of SCCA fresno chapter, so im know a bit about it.

I will probably be asking a bunch of simple questions but i am just trying to know as much as I can before I start building my car. Drive Safe Out There!

What class level are you going to try and get into?
What Drive platform? FWD RWD AWD
If you want to be real competitive I would recommend looking at the top three national wining cars in each class and then pick one you like best. Otherwise just pick a car you like and have fun like we all do here in the Fresno Chapter.
Let us know what your shopping for and we might be able to help.

My dad is tim hiebert. The last car he had was a 80's corolla. I think he stoped going some time in the early 90's.

As for myself, I want to build a fox body mustang. I'm to big for a miata. But I am open to ideas. 2 seaters r a no go.(I'm 6'5" 255) I wanna feel safe. Plus a mustang can drift real easy.

For the class, whatever I fall under. I'm just looking for fun and learning to drive. And I am a big fan of driffting.

not sure what prepared is, but it was fully gutted and primered red. Once i get a car he will be the one helping me put it together and set up.

thanks for the comment. I will tell him that, he doesnt race anymore obviesly, but he tinkers in his garage on his elko and his 1100 suzuki, from what ive seen him do in his spare time, he is a genious

p.s. forgive my spelling, i am a horrible speller!!

I remember the name more than the car. I'm sure he remembers the absurdity of my autocrossing a Mazda B2200 Cab+ in DSP, along with Jeff Shanab's Mitsubishi PU and Jay Vogt's Toyota PU. The DSP class in Fresno was pretty much all mini-trucks and Gary Q's Datsun 1200. Jay was in a horrible head-on accident while riding with Brett Norgaard up on Friant road, in Brett's Integra.

He has a good memory so im sure he will remember that. Sad to hear about that guy. those are always sad stories. I will ask my dad about those tonight when I pick my twins up from his house.
