There is a brand new Autocross book that has just gone into print.
http://www.cartechbooks.com/cartech/images/ACFDE91.gif
How to Autocross (http://www.cartechbooks.com/vstore/showdetl.cfm?User_ID=4003189&DS_ID=2&St=729&St2=-70278&St3=39751&Product_ID=3773&DID=6)
Only $24.95:eek:
Our fellow autocross racer Bryan Heitkotter did just about every photo in it. All of the text was done by the author so don't question Bryan why it was written that way because he only did the photos.

Yes, Bryan's photos are all over in this book and guess who is in these photos! The Fresno Chapter members from the various events. If you have been autocrossing regularly with the club the last couple years then your photo or photos might be in it.

I will go through the book again and write down all of the people I recognize and list them here.:D

Actually, I bet all those pictures of you are actually pictures of ME, in your car. Ba ha ha

I'll let them figure it all out. I posted the news about the book on the SF forum and was hoping that the Region got some coverage also. Bryan's portfolio is huge and runs the gamut in autocrossing over the last decade.

Also glad to hear that our chapter was so highly published:).

You guys are lucky. They don't even stock it at the Borders in Visalia. Order Only:(

Is this a magazine or a book? that is a lot for a mag...lol...just wonderingBook, paperback. How do I know? I looked it up on Amazon.com. Noticed there is one review saying you don't learn autocross by reading (DUH!) but the photos are, and I quote "...the pictures were as much if not more informative in illustrating what to do or not do." Kudos to Bryan and I hope he makes a lot of money of it.

Now that I have "The Book" I can add some names to the list.

Ben Martinez - page 25, DSP Merkur XR4ti
Bob Marcy - page 118, EP Datsun 1200
Dwayne Komush - page 112, 117, 129, 139, EP Ford Escort Mexico
Frank Stagnaro - page 140, CP Ford Mustang (or co-driver?)
Jack VanWettering(?) - page 106, OSP Red VW Bug
James Barrett - page 42, STS Acura, 129 (top of my bald head w/ Dwayne K)
Kevin McKormick - page 143, STS Honda Civic (or Katie Elder?)
Mike Mier - page 15, 116, CP Ford Mustang (or co-driver, G/F?)
Paul Tibble - page 14, STX Ford Taurus SHO
Rick Gould - page 15, 20, 107, CSP Mazda Miata

Way to go Bryan! Page 42 is actually MeSelf, driving Doug Kreighbaum's 1991 Acura Integra LS. I'm not sure about Jack's last name, but that is the most insanely-psyhco fast red VW Bug I've ever seen autocross. It picks the inside-front tire up about 6" and lays down 30 feet of black stripes with both back tires exiting corners. The Karman Ghia belongs to someone we know doesn't it? The "smiling" white Miata on page 100 is also a local I think. I'm pretty sure that is Chris KcKinney in the MR2. Wow, I'm in print. Now, much like Navin R. Johnson in The Jerk, things will start happening to me now. As long as I stay away from those defective oil cans, I'll be alright I guess. "Die, Gas Pumper!!!"

Hey guys! Who is this Doug Kinginbalm?! hehe
Hope this finds you all in good spirits and great times. Things are going well here in the St. Louis metro area. Weather is nice, mid 80's and rain.
Yep, you heard correct. We are expecting our second. Just a slight age difference. Meaghan just turned 12 in May. Rose is due late July. Just finishing up the office for her in the basement and the 4th bedroom/guest room with bath also. I hate construction.
I will be purchasing a copy I think. Have to have SOME evidence I drove way back when. Haven't raced since we moved here. Busy schedule and the club here just has to much politics. Cliques are how they work here also. Very wierd group of people.
Keep in touch guys! Talk to you later.

P.S. Doug Kreighbaum 1991 Acura Integra LS. Shampagne baby!!!!!
Also if the number is 3, that is the one and only James Barrett. I used 33.

Hey Doug,

I never thought about it till know you where the clubs DK. If you would have had a RWD car you could have been the Drift King and no I am not calling you Donkey Kong. If you have no clew to what I am talking about then expand your mind and watch Tokyo Drift.
Are you using your car to commute or is it just sitting in the garage?
Wish you were still out here. :(
Drop us a note every once and a while. Even if you are not driving/racing.
