I found this. Don't know how long it's been around, but it is cool! A newscaster who does autocross with SFR!

If you went to any American Autocrosses over the last several years you would have seen her. She's Joel Villarreal's(Jesus's son)girlfriend.

Dan Taylor who is the sports director at Channel 30 news has a sister named Cheryl who used to autocross back in the nineties, locally. I don't know if he ever did a story on us but he should. Maybe someone can get ahold of her and see about that?
I'm sure you remember her, Ron

Yep, I remember her. Her license plate was TWERP. I figure you have a best chance of getting a hold of her than anybody.

I remember Cheryl very well and I believe there was some talk back then about tapping the relative for coverage. It never came together. I do remember Dan coming to an event though.

If we're serious about promoting our club/sport through a local newscast, does anyone else think it might be beneficial to wait until we have an event at a large site, perhaps the new Fresno site late next year? The size and speed of the courses we can fit on our current lots are probably going to be difficult for a news crew to make exciting from the outside. :)
I doubt they'd want to cover autocross now, and again in a year or so.
Something to think about anyway.
Edit - Los Angeles had a great news feature on autocross a while back, too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0U4x9STeTtc
