1. 1 hour plus qualify and practice time works for me.

2. Let people choose their own teams.

3. No recommendations

4. Any night works.

5. Any track is fine, just stay away from the street courses.

6. I like WTCC and Radical cars.

7. No recommendations

8. $30 is too high, stay as close to $20 as possible.

9. All three plus ca$h and a Hot trophy Girl to do the presentation!

10. Invite everyone, the more the merrier.

1.) Sounds decent, longer would be better

2.) I dont think there should be a minimum, i know i'd like to do it by myself and really Endure lol

3.) i think each driver should have a minimum of stints

4.) Anytime after 5:30 weekdays is fine for me, weekends totally open, but i think we should do it later like in December so we have time to get more word out.

5.) no preference

6.) i think there were cars classed as WTCC extremes, i raced one the other day and they were VERY fast, i'd recommend something similar, actual car based, No Formulas/open wheel & no radicals

7.) No Traction Control is a must if we are going to be utilizing tire wear and pit stops, & because its just weird for me to have the T/C on :)

8.) $20-25 max per person i'd say

9.) Something good and worth the effort, Maybe a free autoX entry since we have an event coming up, i think its be a cool thing to advertise and help draw people in

10.) Open for everyone, SCCA members only is too limited, why not open it to public?

1) One hour race, 1hour practice (grid random)
2) Teams drawn randomly from a hat
3) driver swaps mandatory with each driver completing min number of laps
4) nov 14th is good for me, my sched varies, so I need advance notice so I can plan for it.
5) I'm good with any track except the street courses
6) no fwd, no open wheels
7) all driver aids off, excluding traction control (should keep things a bit closer)
8) $20, same mat of driving as the reg tourney, so same price
9) how about a winners board on the wall of the Race Room with pictures/names
10) open to everyone

-this ought to be fun!

Don't forget about answering the Poll at the top.
Keep the comments coming.

1) 1 hour of race time for the first enduro event. If on Nürburgring - 90 minutes at least. 15 minutes practice; It's practice, not another race.
2) +1 on at least 2 drivers. Self organized teams should be allowed and those that don't care are thrown into a hat.
3) Minimum of 3 changes (to allow 2 driver teams equal seat time). Teams decide when they want to change - no minimum 15 minutes.
4) Start at 6pm. Ditch the qualifying.
5) Each team submit a track and draw from hat.
6) Decide on a class of car and allow each team to pick their own car.
7) No T/C, it really kills it for me. ABS is good.
8) $20 sounds fair for a slow night.
9) Winner buys dinner.
10) It should be open to the public.

Additional note. If open to the public, we need a race official that can penalize unsportsmanlike conduct. Having damage on make take care of this but it would suck to be punted off track by some idiot and have a wrecked car for the next hour.

If you go with a 15 minute practice and two driver teams, there should be two practice sessions so each driver gets to get a feel for the car and track.

I haven't read everything here but I'll offer my thoughts as someone who's done a couple 24-hour sim races and several 90-minute sim races. I think minimum each driver should be looking at a half hour stint. The whole idea of an enduro is to keep a rhythm and concentration for an extended period. Heck I would suggest an hour stint for each driver if it's feasible. I can remember triple-stinting a virtual 24 Hours of LeMans in the middle of the night last year which meant I was in the car over 3 hours before handing off to one of my teammates.

I've done a couple 1-hour stints in the real RJN 370Z so far and they're really not that difficult provided you're not in heavy heavy traffic. Time flies when you're focused. :)

I've done a couple of the endurance races in GT5 lately, 2 hours in the easy chair at home flies by but that's way more than enough!

I'm in as long as its not on a Tuesday or Thursday night
I would prefer 10 min practice session per team member, 30 min (straight through) race session per team member. No qualifying
No driver aids, but so no team is left out of the race the last 59 min after the start, minimal car damage
Pick you own teams (I call dibs as Ric's partner :D)
Event open to everyone
Cars & tracks are open as far as I'm concerned

Went out to Race Room Saturday and met Tony, John, and Frank there. We just did a 30 min race at Road America with the same settings listed in the first post. We found tires are the first thing to go while the fuel is more than enough. I have updated the first post with the info about the event, so now all we need to do is pick a date.

I say do Nov. 14th as that a week before our autocross and 3 weeks away giving plenty of time to get the word out. If nobody responds before the end of Sunday 23rd with a valid reason why we can not do Nov. 14th will be the date. I really hope to make an announcement at the Tournament's starting the 25th about the Monthly Enduro, so we can get a lot of competitors.

Race Room has agreed to let us do the Enduro for $20 a team member, so a team cost $40.

Find a team member and get ready!!!

Also, Saturday 10/29 is going to be Race Rooms Halloween Night. Dress up and buy one session and get the second one FREE. They mentioned there will be free snacks and Monster Energy drinks to be given away. I will be there!!! What about you guys?

If you are referring to the Fresno SCCA enduro event, that will be the the 20th of November

Daniel,

This whole thread is on the RACEROOM Enduro night on the 14th. This thread has nothing to do with Nov 20th.

I was referring to the post by Ken_STi, although I guess I forgot to quote it. I am not sure of any other enduro event that is on the 14th besides the Raceroom one.

Anybody who is going but does not have a team then I recommend posting here. Come out to RaceRoom this Sat for Fright Night and/or a Tournament Tuesday to show off your skills.

I'll try and make it and if there is no one to co-drive with I'll just do my best impression of Pierre Levegh. Hopefully with a different outcome!

Ya'll don't know me, but I registered just to drop a line. My friend and I are highly interested in this event, but I'm completing my post-bachelor work at Fresno State this semester and will be unable to attend tonight (I also just found out about this yesterday). We will however be highly interested AND probably available next month. We're not SCCA members, but we can at least fill a spot as of next month.

Ok, what do you do when only 8 people show up....throw the plan out the window!
Instead of the original plan that so many of you had input into we came up with a new one.

How about:
Track: Okayama
Cars: Radicals 252hp
Diving Aids: None
Driver Change: None
Tires: Normal Wear
Fuel: Normal Use
Practice: 10 Min
Race: 40 Laps yes 40 Laps or about 1 hour of racing.

What a blast!!! This event was worth every dollar!!!
People that were there:
Frank, Joshua, Brandon, Aaron, Brian, Ric, Ken and Wayne.

You guys that were not there REALLY missed out.
Somebody else will have to organize the next one. I was disappointed at the over all turnout even though I asked on here and no one had a major issue with the day.
Just let me know the date of the next Enduro.
