Boy did you all miss a great event!!!
I did see Ron, Cliff, Ric and Don, but no Kurt! Also, I saw a bunch of my new SFR road racing friends too.
I think the Continental races were the best as they were not afraid to lay a little paint or rubber on each other.
The Super carts were insane as usual.
The Grand-Am GP and DP car were great two especially when two late race yellows bunched the field back up.
I worked the Membership Booth which was a blast as I got to talk to people about SCCA and on occasion talk about Fresno SCCA. You have to remember people come from all over to these Pro races. We even talked to a family from Mexico!
I have quite a few photos to edit through so watch this thread over the next week or so...

Time for me to go thru 1500 photos............I think I'll be done by next years race
Great side about it all, there were lots of flame throwing shots out there. The race was entertaining. Great crowd, thought it would be smaller.
Ric and Don were another story in it's own.................

One important reason you didn't see me Saturday is that I was there only on Friday. I was scheduled to autox at Marina Saturday with Santa Clara Corvette Club but left for home Friday afternoon because of a wonderful case of kidney stones. Still not feeling great so no fun for a while.
Looks like you guys with the cameras had plenty of opportunities for some really great shots. Thanks for sharing.

Ah, so Ron must have had a good view of the Synchronized Mazda Spin-Out with Flame that featured the #42 Sahlen's RX-8, lol! What a rough day for that team!

YEP - A really good view of the incident. I was working blue-flag at the time so was looking up-track. When I saw the yellow-flagger at work, I looked over to see the fire. When the two following cars spun, I changed from blue to oil/debri flag. Since it was a minor oil fire that extinguished itself quickly, the driver climbed back into the car and rolled down to pit lane before tow & rescue arrived!! When tow & rescue arrived we then added the white flag. So we had 3 flags showing at the same time for about 3 pace-car laps. Fun stuff! Also serious stuff. That's what turn workers do: communicate with the drivers.

Ron,
I was going to surprise you but I will not get all of the photos uploaded until after this weekend, so I uploaded this one special for you.
See Road Race drivers pay attention to the flaggers:p sometimes:o

Thanks Josh. In was nice to work with pros (instead of know-it-alls) in the box.
The man on the left is Ian Cook, the Race Chairman this weekend.
The man in the back was complaining he needs to get a bigger garage; his 5 motorcycles and 4 (I think) cars (of which 1 is an Elva, 1 is a Shelby Mustang) won't fit.
The woman's husband is a racer. She was telling of their woes with the Ferrarri F455.
