The club did this a little over a year ago. Let's all get together and see what our corner carvers can do in a straight line.

Let see the first time we went it was May 18, 2007 and then August 22, 2008.

Ummm some things to remember.
Get there early and get tech done and get in line.
Wear Long pants.
Make sure headlights and tail lights work.
Make sure you have a catch can.
Be ready to wait longer than you ever have at an autocross between runs.
You don't get to pick who you run against.

My first time I got two runs 16.508 and 16.428
My second time I got two runs 14.655 and 14.155

Still I owe my self a ten second car. Awwe those classic movie lines.

I will be there Brandon. Are we thinking about doing the caravan from IN-OUT Jensen and 99 like the past times? Remember it takes 2 hours from there to the drag strip.

You know what I wonder if those old retired guys can go in a straight line. They are always talking about how we can't do track days but can they do drag strip racing?

It was fun with my S, but that car is long gone. I still remember beating a Ford F150 that had a SC and maybe a NOS system hooked up as well. He was somewhat shocked that it was bone stock. Still, long wait time even got to Mr. Fine himself.

In the Miata, it was a long yawn. 18 secs IICR...........pretty slow. I should've made a course out there to get my full moneys worth :D.

Hey Gary,

The only way to test your quote is to go to the drags and see if your car is faster. If your car is slow then you got an reason for not being fast on the autocross track. Also it is pretty cool if you can get the competitors in your class to go because you can really see how fast their cars are compared to yours with their particular mods. Basically you can see if it is the car that makes you win or you driver ability. We only do this once a year and it is mainly for fun but it can get competitive if a couple people are close on their runs.

I switched: the floor plan bolts to ARP's so I should be good to go!!!:D
