I just received this yesterday, but stupid me, I ordered the black helmet when i wanted white!! maybe someone will want this instead of me having to ship it back and pay restocking fees .
Anyways, its a Bell Sport, Medium in gloss black with a SA2005 rating. I just removed it to take pics.

Not looking to go all black eh?

Also an FYI, if you have to reorder, you may want to consider an open face helmet. Although not required, I'd highly recommend one.

DATE: November 16, 2004

SUBJECT: Airbag Advisory

It has been brought to the attention of SCCA Technical Services that the use
of full-face or closed-face helmets while driving vehicles with active airbag
restraint systems may result in injuries in the event of a crash that deploys
the airbag. Because of the location of the steering wheel relative to a
driver’s position, the airbag axis is on a level with the driver’s chin. In a
crash with airbag deployment, contact with the chin area of a full-face
helmet can be so powerful “that the risk of fractures to the jaw cannot be
ruled out“ (Hubert Gramling, FIA Institute, FT3/AF, 18.5.1999). This applies
to vehicle that may be used in Solo, RallyCross, High Performance Car
Control Clinics, etc.

Therefore, it is highly recommended that full-face helmets not be used in
vehicles with functional airbag systems. Potentially more restrictive language
is currently being considered for 2005, which could appear in an early 2005
issue of FasTrack. If you have any questions, please contact the SCCA at
(800) 770-2055.

I figured white would be cooler than black! plus it will stand out more in pics :p

I debated a long time before I ordered if i should go with an open face or full face helmet so ill just stick with the full face unless the scca restricts them!

I am one of the few who like full face. I don't know if it is the image in photos or the security of my head being fully wrapped inside a helmet. I happen to drive a non-airbag car so I am not worried to much about the rule. My only concern is if I want to drive an airbag equipped car at an event. Hmm some day I might have to have both but I hope not. I am waiting till 2010 to get a SA2010 helmet. If I hear of anybody looking for one I will let you know. There are couple other place you might try advertising it. One is Western Speed and Fuel here in Fresno. Two craigstlist. Good luck on selling it.

Josh, keep in mind that it isn't a rule. It was even retracted from FasTrack. The loaners are all open face if anyone needs one for a run in an airbag car. Beats having a busted face....

It is not a rule yet. I hope it never becomes a rule since there is no proof that injuries will result. Once I see some actual test results then I will agree with a rule change but until then I will always wear a full face helmet.
Sorry for turning your ad for your helmet into a rant about open face and closed face helmets.
