I posted the following to the Yahoo Groups system. Brandon told me that we are now using this for communication so here it is again. I have already gotten a few responses asking for photos and I should have them up either Tuesday or Wednesday.

"My coworker is selling a 1967 Volkswagen type 3 hatchback "station wagon"
1600 engine she is not sure why it is not running.
Engine is not working, needs to be cleaned up, new tires.

She is asking 500 but if you want to negotiate with her Im sure you can. Im not certain how firm she is on the price.

She has not had luck finding anyone who wanted it so I thought I would check out SCCA. The car is located in Fresno.

If anyone is interested I can get photos of the car and put you in touch with her.

Hmm tempting. Can you put me in contact with her? Do you know when the last time it ran was?

Thanks!

I have a 2006 xB at the moment. I got a manual with nothing but floor mats and I believe it came up to $14,700. I get 32mpg city with the air on with room for my lanky 6'6" frame. Once I finish out college I would like to get a 3 series again. I miss the sound of an I-6 doing 5k on a long sweeper.

I think it last ran 6 years ago and has been sitting in the garage since. I doubt you can see but next to it is a TR-6 that she also needs to get running again. When she split up with her ex husband he dumped sugar in the gas tank. She was lucky and never drove it before finding out. I am not sure what she is waiting to do on it.

The VW had a rebuilt motor and during the first 1000 miles apparently he took it over Pacheco pass three times. It stopped running and they ended up just parking it. I will get her information tomorrow and PM it to you. If you need any other information let me know.

Hehe. It was sold a few years ago. Since it sold I left Fresno, finished my degree, and as of today am about to be laid off.

So to answer your question nah it sold to one of the Fresno SCCA members I forget who. I would like to see pictures of it. The car looked like it was in decent shape.
