Hey Myron, not sure if you remember me. My name is Matt, friend of Paytons with the black C6 vette. I have not been to an event in the last couple of years but want to try and start coming out again. Been doing alot of big track stuff in the last couple of years. Iam also running a black 07 Z06 Vette now.

Me and a few friends are going to the open track day at Buttonwillow this fri Oct 8th, anyone else happen to be going?

I had the Z06 at Fontana a couple months ago and lost third gear in the tranny.I installed a brand new T6060 tranny in the car and have been dying to get it back out there so Iam really looking forward to going fri. Let me know if you or anyone else is going and hopefully I will make the Nov event with yous guys to!

Names are a blur for me unless I use them regularly, but I don't forget a face (or car, lol). Just an FYI, the Buttonwillow (BW) Oct 8 date is a T&T. The BW T&T is open to all close wheel cars, so you'll be on track with guys shaking down their race ready track cars. Unless you are comfortable with open passing, often times large speed disparities, you may be better served running at an HPDE. The one Aaron mentioned is a NASA event. The one I plan on attending is a SpeedVentures event. That said, I think this is the last HPDE for me this year. Funds were/are in short supply this year and my kids are getting older (more expensive) which is dipping into my race fund. FWIW, I plan on attending the last Autox @ the FFG on the 11th & 12th.

Gary, are you talking about going to the SV or NASA event?

Yeah I do the T&T's all the time at BW. Usually an open wheel group and a closed wheel group. I normally run in group 3 with NASA and we get alot of passing practice in 3 too. Also ran two 24 Hours of Lemons teams this last year so it should be fun with the Z06. They also sometimes add a third group of street legal cars only, just depends on how many cars show up. Most of the time there are so few cars that come to the T&T's its never crowded and plenty of room for passing, etc... So few cars of different speeds your hardly ever wheel to wheel except with your buddies with like cars. TONS of track time too. Weather looks like its going to be perfect too, cant wait! Iam going to try and make the last Fresno autox event too.

Just as an FYI, I rented a garage so if anyone wants to split the cost, I'm willing to share. I have garage #2. I'll be @ Buttonwillow late afternoon/early evening on Friday 10/22/10.
